National COVID-19 Vaccination Program officially kicked off!

The first phase of the National COVID-19 Vaccination program has officially kicked off!

This is after PM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin became the first person in the country to receive the jab.

After getting the shot, Tan Sri Muhyiddin urged everyone to register themselves to be vaccinated, to overcome the nation's COVID-19 outbreak.

Meanwhile, Health Director General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah was also among the first recipients today.

Vaccine registration via MySejatera available on iOS and Android platform



The COVID-19 vaccine registration feature on the MySejatera app is available on iOS and Android devices.

The Science, Technology, and Innovation Minister said this, following claims alleging the feature could only be accessed on certain platforms.

Meanwhile, he says vaccine registrations via the government’s vaksincovid website and hotline will begin next Friday.

Parliament can reconvene during Emergency period



The Yang di-Pertuan Agong has decreed that Parliament can reconvene during the nation's state of emergency.

Istana Negara says a suitable date would be announced soon, based on the advice of PM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

This debunks earlier assumptions by some parties that the Emergency period prohibits Parliament sessions from being held.

Negeri Sembilan records today’s highest daily number of COVID-19 cases



3,545 new COVID-19 cases were reported today.

Negeri Sembilan had the highest number of infections with 1,392 cases, followed by 581 in Selangor, and KL with 381.

Meanwhile, the death toll has risen to 1,088, after 12 more patients succumbed to the virus.
