Dr Adham: Ban on interstate travel will remain in place

The ban on interstate travel will remain in place due to the country’s Covid-19 situation.

This as one of the inter-state travel clusters in Kelantan was linked to the coronavirus variant spreading in South Africa.

Malaysia recorded a drop in Covid-19 cases yesterday, with 2,500 infections.

Selangor is still the state with the most new cases at 637, followed by Kelantan and Sarawak.

There were 18 fatalities, the highest number of deaths recorded in almost three months.

22 schools in Negeri Sembilan have been ordered to close for two days, following the detection of Covid-19 positive cases.

The closure order is to enable the district health office to conduct risk assessments, detect close contacts and sanitise the schools
