6 selangor districts to be under mco

A Movement Control Order will be enforced in six districts in Selangor due to the state’s COVID-19 outbreak.

The Defence Minister says they are Petaling, Klang, Gombak, Hulu Langat, Kuala Langat, and Sepang.

Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob adds that both interstate and inter-district travel will NOT be allowed in MCO areas.

The order will take effect this Thursday until May 17th.

Meanwhile, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Selangor, and Sabak Bernam will remain under the Conditional MCO.

Another 3k new COVID-19 cases

Malaysia reported 3,120 new COVID-19 cases today, with Selangor having the most cases.

Sarawak is second on the list, followed by KL, and Johor.

Meanwhile, 23 more patients succumbed to the virus, raising the death toll to 1,574.

This year's Hari Raya SOPs

House visits will be allowed to take place in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri subject to strict SOPs.

The Defence Minister says for those in areas affected by the Movement Control Order, only 15 guests are allowed at one time, depending on the size of the premises.

Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob adds that the limit is capped at 20 in Conditional MCO areas, while those in Recovery MCO areas are allowed a maximum 25 guests.

Meanwhile, open houses will not be allowed nationwide.

Also, Datuk Seri Ismail says only those in CMCO and RMCO areas will be allowed to visit cemeteries while following set guidelines.
