Covid-19 self-test kit now as low as RM4.90

Govt to revise down COVID-19 self test kit price by end of the year -  Tengku Zafrul | Astro AwaniCovid-19 self-test kits will now retail for as low as RM4.90 each.

However, the government says despite the lower price, the quality of the kits will not be compromised.

This will help ensure that more people can afford to screen themselves periodically.

Malaysia’s new Covid-19 cases crossed the 6 thousand mark, with 6,144 infections.

Only 1.8% of them reported moderate to severe symptoms.

The current price increase in daily necessities such as eggs, chickens and vegetables are expected to be resolved in one or two weeks.

The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister says factors that led to a higher price for eggs included the rising cost of animal feed and shortage of workers.

As for the hike in the price of vegetables, it says it was due to the northeast monsoon transition, as well as floods and landslides in Cameron Highlands recently.
