A total of 15 heat-related cases have been reported nationwide so far this year.
The Health Minister says this includes three cases of heatstroke, as well as one fatality.
He’s also urging the public to take the necessary precautions, as well as to avoid leaving young kids unattended inside vehicles.
This, as Padang Terap in Kedah remains under a level 2 heatwave warning…with expected temperatures of between 37-40 degrees Celsius.
The Met Department adds that a further 14 areas across the rest of Kedah…as well as Perlis, Penang, Perak, Pahang and Negeri Sembilan are currently under the less severe Level 1 heat advisory.
