The PM says the government's Waze restriction for civil servants is aimed at protecting sensitive information.

According to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, it's because of concerns that the app could monitor officers who are handling national security matters.

Datuk Seri Anwar stressed that the restriction applies only to government officers and not the general public.

He also acknowledged the weaknesses in the locally developed alternative TuJu, but says the issues can be fixed.
