Private Hospitals Have Enough Medicine

There is sufficient supply of medicine at private hospitals nationwide, despite the ongoing conflict in West Asia.

According to the Association of Private Hospitals Malaysia…it has not seen any indication so far of supplies being directly impacted by the crisis overseas.

It comes after the Health Ministry earlier assured that supplies remain under control at all government facilities – which have between one to three months of medicine in stock.

In a separate development…the Ministry is calling on Malaysians to plan their outdoor activities carefully amid the ongoing hot spell.

Its recommending we try and avoid exposure to extreme heat during the peak hours of 11am to 4pm…to prevent heat-related illnesses like heatstroke and dehydration.

This, as Pokok Sena, Pendang and Baling in Kedah remain under a Level 2 heatwave warning, with expected temperatures of between 37 and 40 degrees Celsius for three consecutive days.

18 other localities across Kedah, Perlis, Penang, Perak, Pahang, Kelantan and Johor are now also under the less severe level 1 heat advisory.

Meanwhile, all institutions under the Education Ministry have been directed to make the necessary preparations to cope with the hot weather when schools reopen on Monday.

The Ministry says the measures include cancelling outdoor activities if temperatures exceed 35 degrees Celsius and ensuring an adequate supply of clean drinking water for students.

MIC has decided to remain in Barisan Nasional for now…although it refused to rule out the possibility of one day joining Perikatan Nasional.
