Private Hospitals Have Enough Medicine

Private hospitals have sufficient supply of both branded and generic medicines. 

The Association of Private Hospitals Malaysia says its members’ supply chains have yet to be affected by the ongoing conflict in the middle east.

It adds that teams are also on standby to provide clinically appropriate alternatives, IF the need arises.

Meanwhile, the Health Ministry has also assured that supply of medicines and medical devices at government facilities remain stable.

Petaling Jaya is about to get a new hospital. 

The Selangor Menteri Besar says the Health Ministry has already given the green light for the site, where a 500-bed public facility is expected to be built.

Once completed, it will benefit the residents of PJ and the surrounding areas who currently have to travel to KL, Shah Alam, Sungai Buloh or Serdang if they want access to government hospitals.

Rapid KL has confirmed that one of its trains derailed while passing a railway switch near the Chan Sow Lin station this morning.

No injuries were reported, with all affected passengers safely evacuated.

The rail operator says this has resulted in a disruption along the Ampang-Sri Petaling line, with repair works currently ongoing.

The company is also providing alternative train and feeder bus services.
