The Road Rage Nation

Malaysian drivers are becoming more aggressive.

Bukit Aman’s Traffic Enforcement Dept is concerned about this rising trend, as such aggressive behaviour can lead to incident of road rage and road bullying.

It pointed out that there has been a 50% rise in cases of reckless and dangerous driving in the first half of the year.

Most of the cases were in Johor, while KL, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, and Kelantan round up the top five.

Meanwhile, a road safety expert from UPM says there is no single reason for the rise in reckless driving.

He told the NST that instead, it’s due to multiple structural and factors including rising economic activity, heavier traffic and driver impatience.
