Apr 01, 2024

pep: liverpool are title favourites

Man City boss Pep Guardiola claims the Premier League title race is out of their hands.

He adds that Liverpool are now the clear favourites to lift the trophy.

This is after his team played out a goalless draw against fellow title rivals Arsenal last night.

This, and Liverpool's 2-1 win over Brighton puts the Merseyside team at the top of the standings.

They are 2 points clear of 2nd placed Arsenal, while City are a point further back, with 9 matches remaining.

--

In Spain, Rodrygo scored brace to give Real Madrid a 2-nil win over Athletic Bilbao.

It means that Real are now 8 points ahead of Barcelona at the top of La Liga.

While in France, PSG opened a 12-point lead after their 2-0 win over Marseille.

--

National doubles shuttlers Wan Arif Junaidi/Yap Roy King have missed out on their first world tour title.

This is after they were beaten by Indonesia’s Sabar Karyaman/Moh Reza Pahlevi in the final of the Spain badminton Masters.

It was their third straight defeat against the Indonesian duo.

--

And Malaysian squash queen S. Sivasanggari has beaten her Belgian opponent to reach this year's London Classic final.

She's the first Malaysian to reach a Gold-level final since Datuk Nicol David nearly 10 years ago.
