Carlo Ancelotti has stepped down as Everton manager to take charge of Real Madrid for the second time.

He replaces Zinedine Zidane, who resigned from the Spanish club last week.

Ancelotti – who previously managed Real between 2013 and 2015 – says he enjoyed his spell at Everton but had to take up the unexpected opportunity that came up at the La Liga giants.
