Poch Wants More Consistency

Feb 08, 2024

poch wants more consistency

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino says the recent criticism of his team has been over-exaggerated.

However, he admits that the young squad still lacks consistency, and this is something that they should strive for.

Pochettino said this after the Blues snapped a 3-match winless streak, to beat Aston Villa in their FA Cup 4th round replay.

They will next face Leeds in the 5th round.

--

Also, Pochettino insists there was a valid SPORTING reason for his decision to drop Thiago Silva from the lineup in their FA Cup 4th round replay win against Aston Villa.

He said it had nothing to do with Thiago's wife, who publicly called for Pochettino to be sacked after their recent loss to Wolves.

Malaysian football legend Azraai Khor Abdullah has passed away at the age of 71.

He played for the national team in the 1970s, while as a coach, he helped Kedah claim two consecutive trebles in 2007 and 2008.

--

And South Korean club FC Seoul have confirmed the signing of former Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard.

Lingard had been without a club ever since he left Nottingham Forest at the end of last season.
