Liverpool have opened their Champions League campaign with a win…coming from behind to beat AC Milan 3-2 at Anfield.

Jordan Henderson netted the winner for the Reds, with what was his first Champions League goal for seven years.

Meanwhile, Man City kicked off their European campaign with a thumping 6-3 win over RB Leipzig at the Etihad.

Jack Grealish was among the scorers for City, on what was his European debut for the club.

Lionel Messi’s European debut for PSG has ended with the French giants being held to a 1-1 draw by Brugge.

The Argentine struck the crossbar once…but otherwise struggled to make a serious impact, in what was his 150^th appearance in the competition.

In other selected results, Atletico Madrid and Porto played out a goalless draw…Real Madrid edged past Inter Milan 1-0…while Borussia Dortmund overcame Besiktas 2-1.

Italian sources say ex Chelsea and Inter boss Antonio Conte would be interested in the Man United job, if Ole Gunnar Solksjaer were to be sacked.

It comes amid more questions about Solksjaer’s long-term suitability to lead United, who have lost seven out of their eleven Champions League matches under him.
