Man City’s hopes of a back-to-back treble are over after the holders were eliminated from the Champions League this morning.

They lost 4-3 on penalties to Real Madrid in the second leg of their quarterfinal tie this morning, which was level at 4-4 on aggregate at the end of extra-time.

This means that City now only have the EPL title and FA Cup to play for this season.

Meanwhile Bayern Munich booked their place in the Champions League semis, after their 1-0 win over Arsenal this morning saw the German club advance 3-2 on aggregate.
