Nunez and Jota Fire Liverpool To Big Win

Liverpool have opened up a five-point lead at the top of the EPL table after a comfortable 4-0 win away to Bournemouth.

Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota were on the scoresheet for the Reds, with two goals apiece.

Another EPL tie saw Sheffield United net an equaliser deep into stoppage time, to salvage a 2-2 draw with West Ham.

Over in La Liga…Girona returned to the top of the standings after a 5-1 win over Sevilla.

This, as Real Madrid came from behind to beat Almeria 3-2 while Barcelona thrashed Real Betis 4-2.

Elsewhere…Bayern Munich have suffered their first Bundesliga home defeat of the season…going down 1-0 to Werder Bremen.

Closer to home in the Asian Cup, Saudi Arabia overcame Kyrgyzstan 2-0, while Thailand held Oman to a goalless draw.

And, FIFA president Gianni Infantino is calling for teams to have their matches automatically forfeited, whenever their supporters are involved in racist abuse.
