Cristiano Ronaldo is now the joint-top scorer in world football.
This, after he scored in Juventus’ 3-1 Serie A win over Sassuolo this morning.
It brings Ronaldo’s tally for club and country to 759 – equaling the record set by Austrian-Czech striker Josef Bican.
Ronaldo’s goal this morning also means that the Portuguese has now scored at least 15 goals a season for each of the last 15 campaigns across Europe’s major leagues.
Waning support for Tokyo Games
Support for the Tokyo Olympics among the Japanese has dropped to an all-time low.

A new survey among locals there has found that 80 percent of them want the Games either postponed or cancelled, as the country battles a third wave of Covid-19 infections.
However, organisers insist the Games – scheduled for July and August – will go ahead, even after Tokyo recently declared a state of emergency over its rising coronavirus cases.
