The second batch of Malaysian athletes to arrive at the Olympic Village have tested negative for Covid-19.

The 40-member group arrived in Tokyo yesterday and are currently undergoing a three-day isolation period.

This comes as 21 South African athletes have been confined to their rooms in the Games Village, after coming into close contact with Covid-positive compatriots.

Lewis Hamilton believes last night’s collision with Max Verstappen at the British F1 GP was because his Red Bull rival was being too aggressive.

Faced with criticisms of dangerous driving, Mercedes’ Hamilton denied he was at fault, saying he will not be bullied into being passive on the track.

Verstappen was briefly hospitalized after the first lap collision, while Hamilton received a 10-second penalty but went on to win the race.

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Mercedes’ Vatteri Bottas came in second and third respectively.
