Euro 2020: Italy and Wales are through to the last-16
Jun 21, 2021
Italy have wrapped up their Group A campaign at Euro 2020 with a 1-0 win over Wales.
Roberto Mancini’s side have now gone 30 games unbeaten in all competitions…equaling a national record that has stood since 1939.
It also maintains the Italian’s perfect start at Euro 2020 so far and secures them a place in the last-16 as group winners.
Despite the defeat, the Welsh are also thru the knockout rounds as group runners up.
Meanwhile, Switzerland defeated Turkey 3-1 to finish third in Group A.
There is still a chance the Swiss could also make it into the last-16, as one of the best third-placed teams in the tournament.
Man United are reportedly prepared to make Paul Pogba the highest-paid player in the Premier League, in order to keep him at Old Trafford.
Insiders say the Red Devils are willing to offer the midfielder a new five-year contract worth 400 thousand pounds per week, to fend off interest from the likes of PSG, Real Madrid and Juventus.
Pogba has one year remaining on his current United deal, and has not ruled out a possible summer exit.
