Task Force To Probe LRT Derailment

The Transport Ministry has set up a special task force to investigate yesterday’s LRT train derailment near the Chan Sow Lin station.

It says it views the incident as a very serious matter as it involves a risk to public safety.

The findings of the probe will be sent to the Cabinet as soon as possible before being released to the public.

The Ministry is also calling for the maximum punishment to be meted out against those responsible, saying no one will be spared from accountability.

Meanwhile, RapidKL says repair works at the Chan Sow Lin station are still ongoing, with feeder bus services provided as an alternative.
