Get ready for tougher traffic laws following the passing of the Road Transport Amendment Bill at the Dewan Negara.

The bill is aimed at encouraging compliance with the law and reduce the risk of road accidents. 

Among the new provisions, it is now illegal to speed test your vehicle on public roads, even if you’re not racing with other vehicles.

The amendment also provides for a jail term of up to three years for those who continue driving despite having their licenses suspended or revoked.

We could soon have a fourth service branch of the military after the Army, Navy and Air Force.

The Defense Ministry says its currently working to establish a cyber force as part of efforts to address the threats posed by modern warfare.

It explained that this evolution cannot be avoided, since modern threats have shifted beyond traditional physical combat to things like cyber attacks.

All complaints about the misuse of AI-generated images or information should be forwarded to the MCMC for the time being.

The Communications Ministry says the Commission is temporarily handling such complaints while waiting for the relevant AI laws to be enacted.
