Football legend Wayne Rooney has called on Man United to give interim boss Michael Carrick the manager's job permanently.

He backed Carrick for the role, adding that he's the perfect pick because the 44-year-old has a calm head and plenty of love to give the players.

Since the Englishman was named head coach for the remainder of the season in January, Carrick has guided his side to seven wins in nine games.

United are now sitting comfortably in 3rd position in the Premier League.

Liverpool's Dominik Szoboszlai has admitted that the team will hold urgent crisis talks following their 1 – all Premier League draw against Tottenham this morning.

He says the match was disappointing, adding that the Reds showcased a lackluster performance...urging players to wake up.

However, Szoboszlai emphasized that what's important now is that their team sticks together.

And F1 legend Lewis Hamilton has defended the new power unit regulations, adding that the new cars are easier to drive and that it's the best racing he's ever experienced.

The seven-time World Champion said this after returning to the podium at the Chinese Grand Prix...his first in red for Ferrari.

However, his comments are a direct contrast to four-time World Champion Max Verstappen, who hasn't held back on his criticism and even threatened to quit.
