
The Asian Football Confederation says it has yet to receive official notice from Iran about pulling out of this summer’s World Cup.
This, despite the Iranian sports minister earlier saying that its impossible to participate in the tournament, amid the ongoing US and Israeli airstrikes against the country.
Any official withdrawal would be the first in the modern World Cup era.

Meanwhile, Neymar has been left out of the Brazil squad for their upcoming friendlies with France and Croatia.
These matches are the last before Carlo Ancelotti names his final World Cup squad…making it likely that the injury-prone attacker will not be making it to the showpiece event.

Man United will not reverse their decision to release Casemiro, despite his strong performances for the team this season.
The Brazilian had announced in January that he will be leaving when his contract expires at the end of the season, but his recent good form had led to calls for him to be kept on for at least another campaign
Sources, however, say United will not u-turn on their plan to let the veteran midfielder go…mainly due to his 18 million pounds a year salary.
