M'sia Gets Favourable Thomas Cup Draw

Malaysia has been handed a favourable draw for the Thomas Cup Finals.

Our shuttlers are in Group B…together with Japan, England and Finland.

This gives the Malaysians a good chance of making the quarterfinals…with the top two teams in the group advancing.

Meanwhile our women shuttlers have been drawn with Japan, Turkiye and South Africa in Group B of the Uber Cup. 

Both the Thomas and Uber Cups will begin on April 24th.

Raphina and Robert Lewandowski both scored twice, as Barcelona thrashed Newcastle 7-2 in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie this morning, to wrap up an 8-3 victory on aggregate.

18-year-old Lamine Yamal was also on the scoresheet for Barca, becoming the youngest player ever to score a total of 10 goals in the tournament.

There was also a big win for Bayern Munich who thrashed Atalanta 4-1 this morning and 10-2 on aggregate.

Liverpool defeated Galatasaray 4-nil for a 4-1 aggregate win.

While Atletico advance 7-5 on aggregate despite losing 3-2 to Tottenham this morning.

The draw for the quarterfinals will pit Real Madrid against Bayern Munich…Sporting Lisbon will take on Arsenal…Barcelona are up against Atletico…while Liverpool will face holders PSG.
