National shuttler Toh Ee Wei is optimistic about the upcoming Badminton Asia Championships.  

She says she's relieved to have overcome her abdominal strain in time to resume her campaign with mixed doubles partner Chen Tang Jie.  

Ee Wei says she's about 70% recovered now, but isn't too worried.  

She explained that injuries are just part and parcel of being an athlete, adding that what's important is how to overcome them.

As such, they've reportedly offered the midfielder a new contract to fend off interest from Real Madrid.
