Long Wait Over For Uber Cup QF Spot

Malaysia’s 16-year wait to make the Uber Cup quarterfinals has finally ended. 

This, after our women’s shuttlers defeated South Africa in their second group tie, to add on to their opening win over Turkiye.

They will wrap up the group stage with a tie against Japan later today.

Meanwhile, our men’s players will take on Finland in their second Thomas Cup group match.

The Sultan of Selangor has given consent for this year’s SUKMA Games to be held with cost-cutting and other prudent spending measures in place.

This, after the Sultan had earlier suggested postponing the Games until the West Asia crisis is over.
