Argentina have confirmed that Lionel Messi will be leading the team at this summer’s football festival in North America.
This means the 38-year-old will be competing in his sixth tournament.
Besides Messi, the squad also includes 16 other players who were part of the team that lifted the trophy back in 2022.
Argentina will open their campaign against Algeria on June 16th before facing Jordan and Austria.

Meanwhile, Neymar is doubtful for Brazil’s opening game at this summer’s tournament after picking up a calf injury.
He’s been ruled out for up to three weeks, with Brazil to play their first game on June 13th.
