First, we saw people posting about how much the work-from-home period is going to bring joy to the introverts. Soon, the extroverts got comfortable and joined in as well because rolling out of bed and into work sounds like a pretty good deal right?

As it turns out, a study conducted by the Medical Journal of Australia said that wearing our ‘sleep’ clothes during working hours is not good for our mental health. O.K…

The research conducted mid last year found that the ones who wore pyjamas while working from home reported worse mental health than those with young children!

They tested this on their staff and students by asking them to wear pyjamas at least one day a week and assessed their overall productivity and their mental health.

The report read that more participants who wore PJs reported that their mental health had declined while working.

But don’t misunderstand it, wearing sleep clothes during the WFH period does NOT mean your productivity goes down the drain. It just means your mental health could deteriorate eventually.

So although the researchers couldn’t confirm that this is 100% true, they found that encouraging people to wear their normal work clothes helped reduce the severity of their depression.

The pandemic has definitely affected us in a world of ways, and it’s up to us to deal with it in the best way possible. Let’s try and practice some healthy work habits so we don’t burn out. Here’s some tips for you to WFH effectively!

In the meantime, we’ll get out of our PJs.
