Demi Moore Shares Heartfelt Message to Mikey Madison After Best Actress Oscar Win

Demi Moore is celebrating Mikey Madison’s big moment at the Oscars. After Madison won the Academy Award for Best Actress on March 2 for her role in Anora, Moore—who had been considered a frontrunner for her performance in The Substance—took to Instagram to share her gratitude for the awards season journey and send a heartfelt message to the newly crowned winner.

She ended her post with a special shoutout to Madison, adding, “And a huge congratulations to Mikey Madison. Can’t wait to see what you do next.”

Madison, 25, also took a moment during her acceptance speech to honor her fellow nominees, which included Moore, Cynthia Erivo, Fernanda Torres, and Karla Sofía Gascón.

“I also just want to recognize the thoughtful, intelligent, beautiful, breathtaking work of my fellow nominees,” Madison said. “I’m honored to be recognized alongside all of you.”

It wasn’t the first time she had praised her peers. During her win at the BAFTAs last month, the Scream star expressed admiration for the women she was nominated alongside, calling them “incredible” and “awe-inspiring.”

While Moore didn’t take home the Oscar, her performance in The Substance earned her some of the most prestigious accolades of her career, including wins at the Golden Globes and SAG Awards.

Reflecting on her journey during her SAG Awards acceptance speech on Feb. 23, the 62-year-old actress shared, “I am so, so grateful that I have continued over these so many years to try—and to sometimes succeed and sometimes fail, but be able to keep going.”

Her resilience and gratitude prove that, win or lose, this awards season was a major victory for Moore.
