Lisa Kudrow recently shared that the core cast of Friends had only gathered once for dinner in the decade following the show’s finale. During an appearance on Jesse Tyler Ferguson's Dinner’s On Me podcast on December 10, Kudrow reminisced about the beloved sitcom and the 25th reunion episode in 2019, which marked the first time in 10 years that all six original cast members reunited.

"It was so good," Kudrow recalled. "We'd only had dinner with the six of us once before since the show ended." When asked how long after the finale it was, she responded, "Ten years!" She described the gathering as "fantastic," adding, "It was like we didn’t miss a beat."

Kudrow reflected on the bond shared with her co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and the late Matthew Perry. The reunion was special, but four years later, the cast was rocked by Perry's tragic death in October 2023 from an accidental drug overdose.
"It shook us up," Kudrow admitted. "He said, 'It won’t be a surprise, but it will be a shock.' And that was exactly right." She noted that Perry, known for his wit and wisdom, had a profound understanding of the situation. "It wasn’t a surprise, but it was a shock. It was a big jolt."

Kudrow took comfort in rewatching Friends after Perry's passing, finding solace in reliving their moments together. "God forbid anybody walk into my house and see me watching my show, I'd be mortified," she joked. "But after Matthew passed away, there were marathons and I wanted to watch. It felt like part of the remembering, grieving... and celebrating." Kudrow expressed deep admiration for her castmates, praising Schwimmer’s comedic timing, LeBlanc’s humor, Aniston’s talent, and Cox’s ability to shine in the spotlight.
She also revealed that there are still Friends episodes she hasn't seen, despite being present at the table reads. "There were episodes I just never saw and still haven’t," she confessed. "I had a kid, I was married — I was the first one. And then I was doing movies, so sometimes I was doing them and came back to do pickups for the scenes I was in."
