One Of The Six Iconic Cast Of “Friends” Almost Didn’t Make It Into The Show

We’re going to start off by saying that Friends is one of the best, if not THE best, TV sitcom of all time. So, if you’ve never watched it, stop reading, and go watch it. Now!

Still here? Then we’re going to assume that despite after almost 14 years since the last episode of Friends aired, it still holds a special place in your heart. While the concept and the writing of the series was excellent, it was the delivery and portrayal of characters by the cast that made the show memorable.

But this iconic TV show could have turned out very differently thanks to the merciless nature of Hollywood that has led many aspiring actors and actresses down a path of exasperation. The same was true for Jennifer Aniston who plays the fashion-forward character Rachel Green in the decade-long series.

The Primetime Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award-winner had considered quitting acting after starring in a series of failed TV shows including Molloy and Ferris Bueller before her luck turned around after a serendipitous encounter with head of NBC entertainment, Warren Littlefield at a petrol station.

A conversation ensued and a few months later, Aniston received the script for Friends and the rest is, as we say, history.
