How old were you when you realised that the hole at the end of a chopping board is not meant to be used as a handle?

Today years old? Same.
It seems that the creators of chopping came up with that hole for some other reason they assumed would be self-explanatory. One TikTok account recently claimed that the true purpose of the cut-out is for us to use it as a hole to push chopped up food through.
Well, to be honest.. It does make perfect sense, considering the number of times we’ve accidentally thrown our freshly sliced onion to the floor. But, we’re still not convinced.
Here are some users’ comments:
“Who’s gonna tell her that it’s just a handle”
“That’s not what it’s for but okay you live your extra life.”
“I tried that and most of the chopped veg just goes straight over the hole and onto the floor.”
Hmm… are you buying this?
